Impact is at the cutting edge of overseas volunteer placement opportunities, as it not only provides an incredible chance for volunteers to see and experience how our partner networks operate first hand, but combines this with active learning about the effectiveness of reaching children at risk through a grassroots network model.

Impact is especially ideal at young people (for instance, gap year before or after university) who are eager to learn and grow, both personally and professionally, and who are flexible and adaptable.

During the placement, you will helping where the need is greatest, and could be involved in anything ranging from after-school clubs to feeding programmes, and from tutoring children in English to providing social work support on active cases. The programme includes some training beforehand and debriefing afterwards; both UK-based.

Working in a team alongside other volunteers and staff in our partner network, PCMN, you will experience how the local church and community is at the heart of tackling poverty and injustice, and have the chance to show love in practical ways as you visit and learn from inspirational communities.

However, whatever your placement looks like, as a volunteer or intern, you will become part of the work the local network performs to improve the situation for vulnerable children and young people in the Philippines.
