There are clear expenses associated with a placement abroad such as travel, food, water and electricity, which, as a charity seeking to raise money for children at risk around the world; Viva simply cannot afford to cover for volunteers. Your final placement price also includes your placement coordination and learning modules through the Academy, so that we can make sure your experience is the best it possibly can be – for both you and the projects receiving you.

The final overall cost of your placement will vary depending on how long you have to give to volunteering in the Philippines.

3 months £      3.130
4 months £      3.420
5 months £      3.700
6 months £      4.000

When you apply you are required to send in a non-refundable deposit of £500. The deposit covers the administrative costs of processing your application, your interview and predeparture training event. After we have confirmed your place, we will ask you to send in a further deposit. This is for remaining UK administrative costs, such as your criminal record checks, in-country and other necessary preparatory costs that have to be paid in advance, and again, this is non-refundable.
You will need to pay the final balance a month before you travel, if possible.
